Greetings Highland House Homeowners -

 

We hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable summer. The Mountain hosted some of its best summer events yet including the Mercedes-Benz UCI Mountain Bike World Cup, which was televised in over 80 countries. Despite a jam-packed event schedule, your Board of Directors and Management team were able to accomplish quite a bit of exterior staining on both the Village side and slope side of the building. This staining project also included rebuilding some of the posts in front of Pocahontas Supply, replacement of cedar shakes, and replacement of various balcony railings.

 

Another exciting project that has recently kicked off is the interior update project that consists of new carpet, paint, wallpaper, woodwork, and signage. This project commenced on September 10th and will be completed prior to Opening day in November. On the first and second floors, ceilings, upper wall and unit niche paint, and wallpaper has been completed. The crew is currently executing the 3rd floor and is finishing up paint on the lower level tunnel. Carpet installation is scheduled to begin October 4th, 2019.

 

A huge thank you goes out to the Interior Design Committee (Kristin Zemis, Bill Jones, and Marc Sanders) and the Board of Directors for the efforts on this project. We are very excited for homeowners to see the beautiful, new interior once completed.
